California Dreaming
California Dreaming investigates California City, the state's third largest city by area with 14,000 residents. Grandiosely envisaged in the 1950s as a new metropolis to rival Los Angeles, it is now a little village in a larger desert ghost town. The video follows numerous people, including Quebec-born blue-collar worker Jean-Paul LeBlanc, and compares the American Dream of the 1960s, when the city was built, to the dreams of those living there today.
